Matthew 7:13 “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. 14 For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.
The beginning of this passage, Christ lays out some information about the Kingdom of heaven. We learn key clues as to who enters and how.
First, were told to enter the narrow gate. This gate is a gate which we shall have life. A glorious life because He will be with us. Then the passage goes on to warn that, another gate (a wide one) is there which, many enter through and it will lead to destruction.
Here’s the simple breakdown.
2 Gates
2 Paths
2 People
2 Destinations
But if that wasn't enough, another warning is given.
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16 You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. 18 A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.
This warning is clearly seen today. You can’t turn on Christian TV or radio without hearing some freshly word about self. Or take for example the battles Christians engage in. Abortion (which of course is wrong), drag queen story hr (crazy demonic stuff) but we neglect preaching repentance and attempt to win over the culture.
Scripture teaches us FEW find the way to life. Yet, we spend more time trying to win the above battles. Understand this, every Nation will bow before God, every person will confess He is Lord, America is no exception.
